iOS 15 Public Beta is the first public beta version of iOS 15. Its stability is better than that of the developer beta three weeks ago, but it is still a beta version, and users are not recommended to upgrade on their main models.

In the early morning of June 8th, Beijing time, Apple held the WWDC 2021. In the keynote speech on the first day, Apple officially released the new iOS 15 operating system. The new system brings several updates, and Apple also released the first developer beta of iOS 15 on the day of WWDC.

In the early hours of this morning (July 1st, Beijing time), Apple announced the first public beta of iOS 15 (Public Beta). All users who join Apple’s public beta program can upgrade to this version. Of course, iOS 15 Public Beta is the iOS The first public beta version of 15 has better stability than the developer beta three weeks ago, but it is still a beta version, and users are not recommended to upgrade on their main models.

3. Download the description file, and install the description file in "Settings-General-Description File and Device Management" on the mobile phone;

4. Check for updates in "Settings-General-Software Update" and download the new system.

This method is also suitable for users who want to upgrade to the developer beta. Apple officially pushed iOS 15 beta 2 (internal version number 19A5281h) and iPadOS 15 beta 2 on June 25. New features including map icon updates were shown on Beta 2.

Let's review the major updates of iOS 15 on WWDC below

The first update is the Facetime video call function. The new Facetime function supports spatial audio, and the microphone adds a new machine learning function, which can highlight the human voice and shield the surrounding noise. The user can choose to include only the human voice or the surrounding sounds to be recorded all at once.

At the same time, Apple introduced a new FaceTime Links function for Facetime, which is actually Apple’s online meeting (or multi-person call) function. This function allows callers to create a Facetime link, and other people can join the video through the browser. In addition to supporting Apple devices, it also supports Android and Windows operating systems.

Another function is SharePlay, sharing the screen. Now you can share the music you are listening to or the screen picture with other people who are in a video call with you. At the same time, Apple has strengthened the effect of multi-device linkage. You can display the screen shared by the other party on Apple devices such as Apple TV.

At present, Apple has opened the FaceTime API interface to third parties, and third-party apps can be added to the screen sharing function.

Next, Apple introduced a mode called Focus in iOS 15. This mode will allow users to focus more on the content they need. The "Focus" function allows users to set work, personal and other modes, and the iPhone will guess which notifications the user wants to see with the support of the device's local AI and even rearrange the home screen.

In this mode, Apple introduced a new push mechanism. iOS 15 allows users to set the folding display of "non-essential" information. The new "Notification Summary" can receive a large "summary" notification at a certain time of the day, which will have a bunch of low-priority Things are bundled together. Of course, notifications from other people are not included.

When the user communicates with you using iMessage, if you set the do not disturb mode, your iPhone will directly remind the other party that you are in the do not disturb mode. At the same time, the system can automatically identify whether the message is important, and if it is an important message, it will actively remind you.

At the same time, Apple introduced an artificial intelligence-based Live Text function, which can intelligently recognize the text of a photo. The user can take a photo or select the current photo. By sliding to display the text on the photo, AI can automatically help the owner to recognize the text and support copying. Paste, take the initiative to make a call or associate a map and other operations.

Spotlight has been updated. On iOS 15, new actor page cards, movie page cards, and other content have been added to the global search.

In terms of photo albums, the new version also improves the "memory" experience and even incorporates Apple Music content in small videos. Through the Memory Mixes function, users can further edit it. This memory video is stitched together in real-time, not pre-rendered, which shows the performance of Apple's A-series processors from the side.

In the third part, Apple focused on the wallet, weather, and map updates. Apple hopes to improve the personal identification function through a strong software and hardware ecosystem. In iOS 15, the wallet function will join the UWB function, which will be officially launched later this year.

UWB allows users to digitize strong personal privacy information such as BMW car keys, door locks, and badges, and even save personal identification IDs in their wallets.

In the weather software function part, iOS 15 will usher in a new design and more real-time weather functions. The new version of the UI includes a full-screen weather map, as well as air quality and precipitation information.

The map function is the biggest update of iOS 15. Apple has redrawn the Apple map in iOS 15. The new map will have a new interactive globe, just like Google Earth. At the same time, in the city map, Apple is adding more business districts, buildings, and other details.

The new map has redrawn the road colors, overpasses, landmark buildings, etc., and the driving mode introduces more road details, including turning lanes, middle lanes, and bus lanes. In addition, the map can also show "overlapping and complex road junctions."

The new map software introduces night mode and supports AR to achieve real-time street view navigation
